Our Claims team investigates losses, solves problems, and helps members protect what matters most. This rewarding career calls for compassionate professionals with strong people and problem-solving skills who take pride in exceptional service during stressful situations.

Compliance

Our Compliance team helps PMIG meet state requirements, supports operational teams, manages licensing and appointments, works with insurance regulators, and researches regulations to guide informed business decisions.

Executive

Our leadership team guides more than 260 professionals in fulfilling PMIG’s mission and vision. Working with the Board of Directors, our leaders uphold our values, support coworkers, and help deliver exceptional service and insurance solutions to customers and partners.

Finance

Our Finance team prepares financial statements, regulatory reports and payments, premium and income tax returns, and manages accounts payable and receivable for PMIG companies. Their accurate, timely work supports compliance and sound business decisions.

Information Technology (IT)

Insurance Agency

PMC Advantage Insurance Services provides customers with a range of insurance solutions from more than 150 trusted insurance companies. Careers with PMC Advantage focus on building relationships and providing excellent service.

Marketing

The Marketing team promotes PMIG, raising brand awareness and driving growth. We reach out to future and current customers and partners to promote PMIG's solutions and superior service. Being a part of the Marketing team offers opportunities to be creative and work with other departments and outside vendors.

Product Development

Our Product Development team turns company and customer needs into practical solutions. Working across the business, the team leads coverage updates, research, legislative responses, and competitive analysis while gaining insight into both strategy and details.

Risk Management

The Risk Management team provides real-world solutions to manage risk for clients. We understand that not all operations are the same, customizing solutions to meet individual needs. We strive to build enduring relationships with our policyholders and partners.

Underwriting

Our Underwriting and Operations teams offer roles in risk analysis, policy processing, and policyholder support. Team members collaborate with agents, manage priorities, answer questions, and keep insurance operations moving while delivering exceptional service.

Extended Breaks for Nursing Mothers

Supporting our moms with a lactation room and extended breaks makes for happier moms and healthier babies! We hope this relieves some of the stress of being a working mom with a new baby.

Scholarships for Children of Employees

The Pharmacists Mutual Employee Foundation offers a one-time $500 scholarship for your undergraduate college student. We also offer scholarships to graduate students in the fields of pharmacy or dentistry. Awarding $500 for up to four years of graduate study. With the rising cost of tuition and textbooks, every dollar counts!

Life and Disability Insurance

If the unthinkable should happen, we want to help ease any financial burdens for you or your loved ones.  We provide company-paid short-term and long-term disability along with a life insurance benefit of three times your annual salary.

Parental Leave

We provide our employees with a generous parental leave benefit covering 12 weeks of leave for the birth and/or adoption of a child.  We encourage our employees to enjoy this special time with their new family members and focus on making memories that last a lifetime.

Employee Foundation

Our employee-funded and managed charitable foundation has contributed over $900,000 to worthy causes in our local communities and healthcare organizations. We prioritize building strong communities and supporting the markets we serve.

SHARE Program

SHARE stands for Supportive Help Among Reassuring Employees. This committee of volunteer employees raises money from organized fundraisers throughout the year. The funds raised offer support to employees during times of celebration and times of need.

School Bus Stop

Our Algona Home Office serves as a pick-up and drop-off zone for local school buses. In-office employees can use this benefit to make coordinating school drop-off and pick-up easier.

Volunteer Time Off

Our employees have charitable hearts and hands. PMIG supports our employees by giving them eight hours of paid time off for volunteer service. Many volunteer in their respective communities and fundraise for various causes throughout the year.

Employee Appreciation

Whether engaging staff in a scavenger hunt, bringing in a food truck for lunch, or hosting a bags tournament, our executive team goes above and beyond to celebrate every employee creatively. No team member goes unappreciated on this day of thanks!

HR Happy Half Hours

On occasion, our Human Resources team invites employees to gather for thirty minutes of fun and camaraderie with their co-workers. Events might include food, a fun activity, and even prizes. We like to keep everyone on their toes, and you'll be sure to leave a little happier than when you arrived.

Phun Days

Hosted by HR or led by individual departments, Phun Days give teams the freedom to choose events that reflect their interests. From sweet treats at quarterly meetings to in-office holiday games, Phun Days give our team a chance to relax, recharge, and build stronger relationships across the organization.

Special Events

Special events might include a tailgating party for rivalry football teams, a Halloween Hike with a costume contest, a wellness challenge, a nacho bar to celebrate our "not so average employees," and more. You never know what they may come up with to celebrate and have fun!
